I'm a 38-year-old man born in Puerto Rico. I've been married to a wonderful woman for fourteen years. We have a beautiful nine-year-old daughter and we are expecting our second child in September 1999.

I was saved in 1981 while attending college at the University of Puerto Rico. Previously in college I had become an atheist. I thought that God was an invention of the human race to make them feel better about themselves. At the age of twenty-one, like many other people, I was searching for happiness. I did not find it until I found Christ. Christ not only became my happiness, but also my joy and everything I needed.

After searching for the deepest truths in Christianity for many years, I came in contact with the rich ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. Their ministry opened my eyes as to what the Body of Christ is. Through their writings they gave me the vision of what the church is. Before, nobody ever showed me that God sees His church as one entity, one Body, which is to express and represent Him through all the earth (Ephesians 1:22-23).

I thank the Lord for the ministry that showed me that I'm not living on this earth for my interests or for what I want, but to enjoy Christ as my everything and to care for God's interest here on earth.
